Chain selection
The chain is chosen separately from the series.
Any of these chain styles can run on the aluminum or stainless beams above. Choosing the chain to suit the product is usually the first decision, not the last.

| Friction | Non-accumulating spirals and inclines; minimizes the tiers required |
| Bearing style | Reduces side loading on tight radii |
| Gripping | Side and top grip conveyors; unstable or delicate packages |
| Felt top | Electronics — reduces static electricity and protects the product |
| Anti-static | Electronics and PCB handling where ESD is a risk |
| High temperature | Product leaving an oven, dryer or hot process |
| Brush | Gentle support of irregular or fragile shapes |
| Carrier | Pucks, trays, fixtures and optical tray handling |
| Roller | Low back-pressure accumulation |
Special chains for small products are available, and are frequently used in pharmaceutical, beauty and optical applications.
